OUR PHILOSOPHY

BASS SETUP PHILOSOPHY

Every bass we sell is professionally dialed in — here's what that means.

A great bass is only as good as its setup. At Boutique Bass Exchange, every instrument is professionally adjusted before it leaves our hands.

WHAT WE CHECK & ADJUST

  • Truss rod — Neck relief is set for optimal playability
  • Action — String height is adjusted at the nut and saddle
  • Intonation — Each string is intonated for accurate pitch across the neck
  • Electronics — All controls, pickups, and output are tested and confirmed working
  • Hardware — Tuners, bridge, strap buttons, and all hardware are checked and tightened
  • Frets — Fret ends and level are inspected for playability
  • Strings — Fresh strings are installed where appropriate

WHY WE DO IT

Most instruments — even new ones — don't come perfectly set up out of the box. A proper setup can transform a good bass into a great one. We want every instrument we sell to feel right, play right, and inspire you the moment you plug it in.

READY TO PLAY

When your bass arrives, it should be ready to play at a professional level — not something you need to take to a tech first. That's the standard we hold ourselves to with every instrument we ship.
